Elena shared her vision with me a few years ago and I was absolutely interested in being a part of such an amazing organization. The aspect of this organization that touched my heart was being able to connect with these women one on one, hear their stories and testimonies and encourage and pray for them that they will fulfill the purpose God created them for. This organization grabbed my attention because there is such a high population of homelessness in Ventura County and I didn’t know a majority of them were women and children.

HER Life Journey has give me the opportunity to support women in recovery with in-person encouragement and by donating regularly to the ongoing program. I now see clearly the need for support and teaching that goes beyond the recovery program and is able to equip the women to build new lives.

Our world needs more organizations like HER Life Journey that aim to serve a specific group of people in need through a Biblical foundation. As Christians, it is difficult to watch people in need go through so much soul-searching, enter expensive rehab programs, etc., only to realize what they’ve been needing first and foremost is Jesus Christ. We love that HER Life Journey uses the Lord to address the “Now what?” realization that so many people come to post-rehab, etc.
